Illiteracy, superstitions and lack of education are the reasons why people in tribal area can’t take proper care of their eyes, which result in eye related diseases that are damaging. For these diseases and for cataract operations especially for old people and giving them a new life is what the institutions works for. Till date 2000 patients have been through the check-up and are provided medicines accordingly, 100 cataract operations are done and in all 400 specs were distributed among people. Laser surgery was done on 3 patients.

A blind woman who has two children was operated and she, for the first time in her life saw her husband and children.
